Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Dan Kelly’s campaign has released their first television ad in their election effort.
The television ad, titled “My Dad,” features Kelly’s youngest daughter. The ad is part of a six-figure buy statewide. The campaign says the ad will run from now until the February 18th primary.
The ad portrays the Supreme Court Justice as a Chicago Bears-hating law geek and is meant to highlight Kelly’s “passion for the law and deep commitment to his role on the Wisconsin Supreme Court,” according to the campaign.
Kelly, a conservative, was appointed by former Governor Scott Walker in 2016 to replace retired Supreme Court Justice David Prosser. Kelly is running in his first election for his own term as a Supreme Court Justice.
Kelly is running against two liberal candidates, Marquette Law professor Ed Fallone and Dane County Circuit Judge Jill Karofsky. The top two vote getters in the February 18 primary will advance to the April 7 election.
Below is a transcript of the television ad, provided by the campaign:
