Father’s Day was spent with the family at The Restaurant to Be Named Later at American Family Field. We all enjoyed our dinners, but the winning run was scored in the early innings with the appetizers. The cheese curds were good, more cheesy than breaded. The Game Day Dip covered all of the bases: queso cheese, sausage, chips, more cheese.

But the MVP was Nueske’s Bacon Three Ways, especially the maple braised bacon. Thick pieces covered in that maple tree goodness that makes you miss playing in Toronto, but a grand slam in any ball park. All four umpires at dinner concurred, the appetizers are a hit but the bacon is definitely the long ball.
