We’re torn between suggesting someone should take away state Supreme Court candidate Tim Burns’ Twitter account or just publishing his Twitter feed as a parody of an actual candidate. Without meaning to be, Burns is often entertaining.
For example, last night Burns lamented the number of men being appointed by President Donald Trump as U.S. Attorneys.

Of course, we’re not sure what that has to do with Burns who is running for state Supreme Court and not asking for a federal appointment (again). However, this is not the first time Burns has been a little confused on the role of different branches of government, so we’ll ignore his problems with federalism.
But does Burns know who else is just another privileged white male? Has he looked in the mirror lately?
Using Burns’ logic, he should be endorsing his opponent Judge Rebecca Dallet, the other liberal running for the state Supreme Court. (Sauk County Circuit Court Judge Michael Screnock is the only conservative so far in the race.) Last we checked, she still self-identifies as a woman.
Burns should also check his privilege before he criticizes Chief Justice Pat Roggensack again. We don’t need Burns “mansplaining” as he attempts to create laws using the power of the Supreme Court.
We’re waiting for Burns to realize his error in being a self-identified male candidate against a self-identified female candidate and apologize for running.
