Having trouble telling the ten (yes, ten) Democratic candidates for governor apart? Are you having trouble remembering which one really, really liked Communist dictator Fidel Castro and which one refused to fire a teacher for watching porn in a classroom?
The Republican Party of Wisconsin is happy to help. They have a new website to help you track the ten Democrats running for governor, “Democrats’ Dangerous Race to the Left.”
By the way, Jessie Opoien of the Cap Times is right when she says that is one scary-looking website front page:
They have a profile of each of the top nine candidates:
“The ten Democrats running for governor are engaged in a dangerous race to the left, from their failures to stand up for hard-working families to the out-of-touch policies that would take us backward and put Wisconsin’s comeback at risk,” said Alec Zimmerman, spokesman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin, in a statement Thursday. “With Governor Walker’s reforms delivering real results like more people working than ever before, unemployment at Wisconsin’s all-time low, and historic funding for our classrooms, we can’t afford to turn back now.”
If the “race to the left” theme sounds familiar, Republicans started with that theme with the decision by Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett not to run for governor, and expect that theme to be used all summer until the Democratic Primary on August 14. Republicans promise “the site will remain an ongoing effort to make the case against the Democrat field.”
