Once again, Senator Ron Johnson proves he is unfit to hold public office. When asked if he’ll accept the results of the upcoming election, Johnson went to the Trump playbook of casting doubt on the election results before Election Day.
“We’ll see what happens,” Johnson told the Washington Post. “I mean, is something going to happen on Election Day? Do Democrats have something up their sleeves?”
Local governments have been asking the state for permission to run the absentee ballots through the machines the day before Election Day, just like their counterparts in Florida. It would end the late night absentee ballot counts suddenly dropping, depriving the conspiracy nuts of another vote fraud theory. The Wisconsin GOP won’t let Milwaukee or any other municipality count their absentee votes early which means another late election night. Why?
So Johnson and the GOP can spin the late results into a fake story of fraud.
