The Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund political action committee (PAC) endorsed Republican candidates Rick Gundrum and Tiffany Koehler, both of Slinger, in the 58th Assembly District special primary election on Tuesday, December 19. The election will be January 16.
“Rick and Tiffany’s belief in the dignity of the human person make them the only choices for pro-life voters in the upcoming special primary and general elections,” announced the Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund.
The special election was made necessary by the passing of state Rep. Bob Gannon in October. Gundrum is the Washington County Board Chairman. Koehler was a staff member for Gannon. Both candidates also received the endorsement of Wisconsin Right to Life.
Two other Republican candidates are running, Spencer Zimmerman (a frequent, unserious candidate) of Janesville and local businessman Steve Stanek of West Bend.
As one of the most conservative districts in Wisconsin, the Republican primary election will likely confirm the next state representative from the 58th District. The district is in Washington County and includes the city of West Bend and the villages of Richfield, Jackson, and Slinger.
