Paul Nehlen’s second run for Congress is continuing the roll in the gutter of his first campaign. Nehlen is running in the Republican Primary in the 1st Congressional District against Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, and Nehlen is using the same racial appeals that got him just 16 percent of the vote the last time.

On Tuesday, Nehlen used his favorite campaign tool Twitter to express his feelings on reforming the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy.

“Mo-Fo’s” is, of course, shorthand for an obscenity. Nehlen justified using the obscenity to attack young people brought to the United States by their parents when they were minors by pointing to a crime committed by one person in the program.

On Facebook, Nehlen upped the racist appeal by referring to Ryan as “Pablo” instead of Paul. When challenged on it, Nehlen tried to use his wife to deflect the criticism.

James Wigderson Uh huh, so you think this racial appeal of calling Ryan “Pablo” will increase your vote total?

Paul Nehlen You can’t defend Ryan’s fundraising sources or his voting record so you switch the topic. That’s a tell.

James Wigderson Paul Nehlen No, I mentioned your vote total. You mentioned his fundraising advantage (which is not going away) and I returned to the question of your vote total. Do you think calling Paul Ryan “Pablo”, an obvious racist pander, is going to attract more votes?

Paul Nehlen James Wigderson my Latina wife and her family like the nickname. We will stick with it. My vote totals will exceed Ryan’s because I’ll represent legal citizens, not illegal aliens, like Pablo Ryan.

James Wigderson Did you tell your wife that it’s a racist pander for votes?

Paul Nehlen ????my wife and her family would call you an SJW. Don’t virtue signal to us. We don’t fall for that Democrat move.

James Wigderson Right. So you’re saying the racist appeal is okay because to criticize is a “Democrat move.”

Manage

Paul Nehlen It’s not racist to point out that the plurality of people who come to this country as illegal aliens are from Mexico. It is factual. Pablo Ryan advocates for illegal aliens over American citizens. That’s why Dan Golvach wants Pablo Ryan to spend all his father’s days with him at his son Spencer’s grave. https://youtu.be/LPjzfGChGlE

James Wigderson So using “Pablo” to attack Paul Ryan every time you mention him in an obvious racist appeal for votes is somehow justified by a difference of opinion over the dollar amount spent on border control. Got it.
Nehlen may think his antics are funny, but there is nothing funny about using obscenities and making racist appeals to pander for votes.
