MADISON, WI – Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin praised a bill introduced by a group of lawmakers today that reforms the Badger State’s controversial “three tier” liquor law system that has put small craft beverage businesses at a serious competitive disadvantage.
“We are greatly encouraged by the common sense reform measure unveiled in Madison today,” said AFP-Wisconsin State Director Eric Bott. “We raise a glass to the brave lawmakers who crafted this bill for sticking up for hundreds of Wisconsin small businesses at a time when they are under assault from powerful special interests. While there is still much work to be done, this is an excellent first step. Reforms like these show there is great and growing interest in removing barriers to opportunity and unleashing the full economic potential of our craft beverage industry.”
